Drexel students to attend and present at ASNT Conference
Three Drexel Ph.D students along with a Post-Doc and Drs. Moon and Aktan will attend the American Society for Nondestructive Testing conference to present papers on the structural identification. The NDE/NDT for Highways and Bridges: Structural Materials Technology Conference takes place August 21-24 and focuses on the use of non destructive technologies and its applications to highway infrastructure. Drs. Moon and Aktan are chairing the Structural Identification session.
Dr. Weidner will present a case study on the limitations of structural identification. Adrienne Deal's paper will focus on on rapid testing methods. John DeVitis will explore the realization of global structural assessment systems. Dave Masceri will discuss the integration of NDE with National Bridge Inventory data. Drs. Moon and Aktan will also present a paper on emerging technologies for bridge evaluation, preservation, and decision-making.
